Every user of the FMS system must have an account. While creating the account is the responsibility of the FMS administrator (see "User Account, Adding/Modifying a" on page 81), there are a number of parameters that you can modify yourself.
First, point your web browser at your FMS system (see "Faximum Messaging Server, Administering a" on page 43). Then select the Update My FMS Account link. This will then ask you for your name and password. Please use your account name and password as assigned by your FMS administrator.
You will then be presented with a form that will display the current settings for the following parameters and allow you to modify any of them:
- Your full name (used in list of potential recipients when manually routing faxes).
- Your password for accessing the FMS administrative functions (such as this form to update your own account parameters).
- The email address you would like used when faxes are to be delivered to you by email.
- Your preference for email format when faxes are delivered to you by email.
There are other parameters associated with each user but these may only be changed by the FMS administrator (see "User Account, Adding/Modifying a" on page 81).
