The System Log

The System Log is maintained by the Faximum server. It is intended primarily as a troubleshooting aid for FSAs and to allow the FSA to monitor how Faximum is using system resources.

The System Log contains the following fields:

• Date and Time (entries are in time order)
• Process Name and Process ID
• Fax Line
• Log message

The Fax Line field indicates the modem that was used.

On systems which can be upgraded to handle multiple lines, the first modem connected to a system is fax-line-1, the second is fax-line-2, and so on.
