Image Types

Faximum supports the following image types:

• ASCII
• BMF (Starbase bitmap images (Z format))
• GIF (xv and xgif images)
• PCL
• Postscript
• TIFF (PC, scanned, and fax images)
• XWD (pixmap images from xwd (Z format))
• XBM (bitonal X bitmap images)
• XPM (color X pixmap images)

Faximum converts all of the above image files to Class F CCITT compressed TIFF files. These are bitonal (black and white, single plane) files.
