The Place Text Button

The Place Text button is part of the Add Text dialog. You access the dialog by selecting Add Text in the Fax - View window.

You can place the comment anywhere on the image. The comment background will white-out whatever is underneath.

To place the comment, follow these steps:

1. Choose Place Text
2. Move the cursor to the position on the image where you want to place the comment
3. While you move the cursor over the image, Faximum draws a text placement rectangle showing the proposed size of the text comment.
4. Press the left mouse button to write the text in the rectangle. The rectangle whites out whatever is underneath.

NOTE: Normally, you can select an area in the viewer window and zoom in or out of it. This mechanism is not available during the placement of the text rectangle.
