When you add a file to the attachments list, Faximum automatically determines the file type. Some file types are converted directly to TIFF image files. Others are accepted as is. The following list shows the supported file types:
When Faximum actually sends or displays the fax it converts all image files to Class F compressed TIFF files. These are bitonal (black and white, single plane) files. Color and grey scale images are dithered to achieve a grey scale effect.
Note that you can add multiple attachments to a fax. Each attachment can be of a different file type. Faximum keeps track of the file type of each attachment.
